Baldy (James Michael O'Shea)
Baritone, Male, Age 45-70s+
 

We are seeking an actor for the role of Baldy (James Michael O'Shea), the grumpy and sarcastic stage manager at St. Imelda's. Having lost his wife early in life, Baldy is a steadfast friend to Alfie, offering dry humor and sharp wit with a mix of warmth. This role requires strong comedic timing, a commanding stage presence, and vocal ability.

This role will also double the roles of Monsignor and Mad John Maher/Mate #3

Production Details:

• Stipend: $250

• Initial Read-Through: Sunday, March 2 at 6:30 PM

• Rehearsals:

  • Sundays: 2:00-6:00 PM

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays: 6:30-10:00 PM

• Rehearsal Locations: Facilities provided by The Players Ring in Portsmouth, NH or Kittery, ME

• Performance Dates:

  • May 30 - June 15, 2025

  • Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM, Thursdays at 7:00 PM, Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 PM

• Location: The Players Ring, Portsmouth, NH

Auditioners are asked to either prepare the provided cut or provide a video of themselves singing.
