Summer 2008

Dear Theater Friend:

The Players’ Ring has completed its sixteenth season and looks forward to a Late Night Summer Series which will run through Labor Day weekend.  The new season will start in September with an original play “Hideaway” by local playwright Mike Kimball. 

Our sixteenth season was also our second Annual Membership Campaign.  We are please to say that we increased our membership with this second campaign and hope to do so again with our third campaign.  Although we would like to increase the financial base, we are just as determined to increase the actual number of members.

The mission of The Players’ Ring has always been to provide affordable theater space and to promote the efforts of local artists through the production of original works.  Not only does membership help support these efforts, but membership also helps us make capital improvements and meet extraordinary operating expenses.  In this regard we are glad to say that the new roof will be a reality this summer.  Membership, fundraising and a grant from the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts have all contributed to this major project.
